Biography

He was born on January 18, 1914 in a peasant family in the village of Tinkovo ​​now in the Stanovlyansky district of the Lipetsk region . He graduated from three courses of the Kharkov Engineering College. He worked at an engineering plant in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region of Ukraine .

In September 1941, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and sent to the army. He fought on the 1st Belorussian Front . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942.

The deputy commander of the tank battalion on the political side of the 49th Guards Tank Brigade of the Guard, Captain N.S. Tinkov, led the reconnaissance group of the forward detachment of the brigade, which in January 1945 destroyed two railway trains and many enemy vehicles in the area of ​​Sohachev. He skillfully organized party political work, which ensured the fulfillment of combat missions by the battalion.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Captain Nikolai Sergeyevich Tinkov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal for exemplary performance of command combat missions and shown courage and heroism of the guard.

In 1949 he graduated from advanced training courses for officers. On October 15, 1957, Lieutenant Colonel N. S. Tinkov died in the line of duty. He was buried in the city of Nikolaev in the City Necropolis.

He was awarded the orders of Lenin , World War 1 and 2 degrees, three orders of the Red Star , medals.
