The Volga diocese ( Mar. Yulser-Olas diocese ) is the diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church within the administrative boundaries of the Volzhsk city district, as well as the Volzhsky , Kuzhenersky , Mari-Tureksky , Morkinsky , Novotoryalsky , Paranginsky and Sernursky districts. It is part of the Mari Metropolis .

History
On October 6, 2017, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Volga Diocese was allocated from the Yoshkar-Ola Diocese. Both dioceses were included in the then-formed Mari Metropolis. [1]
