Biography
Born in 1906 in a Jewish family. Father - Lev Moiseevich Kunikov, worked as a mechanical engineer; mother - Tatyana Abramovna Kheifits (1875-1957), was a housewife; brother - Hero of the Soviet Union Caesar Kunikov . [one]
In 1931 she graduated from the Higher Courses in Art History at the Institute of Art History .
In 1932-1939 she worked as a senior researcher at the Leningrad Theater Museum .
In 1937-1966 - at the Leningrad Theater Institute , where in 1946-1965 was the head. Department of Foreign Art.
She died in 1971 in Leningrad.
Her husband is a theater teacher Vladimir L. Finkelstein , their granddaughter is ballerina Elena Igorevna Kunikova (born 1955).
Proceedings
Elena Lvovna Finkelshtein - co-author of the textbook “History of the West European Theater”, translated the documents for the “Reading Book on the West European Theater” (vol. 1-2. M., 1937).
