South America : Brazil (Pernambuco), Mexico , USA (Arizona, California , New Mexico , Texas , Utah ) [1] [2] .

Description

They feed on the juices of plants such as sour cream ( Annonova : Annona muricata ); Asters : Gutierrezia sarothrae ; Gutierrezia lucida ; Isocoma ; Gubastik ( Norichniki : Mimulus ) [1] [3] . The taxon Phenacoccus hurdi is included in the genus Phenacoccus along with the species P. herreni , P. baccharidis , P. madeirensis , P. manihoti , P. solani , P. solenopsis , P. tucumanus , and others [1] [4] [2] .
