Lieutenant Kizhevatov Street ( Belor. Leytenanta Kіzhavatava Vulіtsa ) is one of the important highways in the south of Minsk . Located in the October district. It starts from the intersection with Kazintsa street, connects with the intersections with Brest, Riga, Osipovichskaya streets, as well as Serova and Korzhenevsky street, ends with the junction with the Minsk ring road and after it continues as a highway to Slutsk .

History
The street received its modern name in 1979 in honor of Lieutenant Kizhevatov , one of the leaders of the defense of the Brest Fortress in 1941 . Until 1979, it was part of the Slutsk highway. At the end of the 70s, a large-scale reconstruction of the highway began during which it was expanded and on the section from Rizhskaya Street to the current Emergency Hospital, its direction was changed closer to the territory of the Minsk-1 airport. At the same time, part of the old highway has been preserved until today in the form of a nameless impasse. In the 70s, on the right side of the street between intersections with Osipovichskaya, Serov and Korzhenevsky streets, the building of a new residential microdistrict began, as well as a hospital complex consisting of the 3rd children's clinical hospital combined with the children's clinic and the Emergency Hospital. In 1984, a trolley bus was launched on the street.
