He led the Saba for the remaining ten matches and led the team to third place, losing to the Persepolis and Sepahan clubs. This result was the best result for “Saba” in the championship of Iran in the history of the club. There were many rumors that Golmohammadi would continue to lead the club next season, but he refused to renew his contract.

Tarbiat Yazd

In July 2008, Golmohammadi led the team from the Azadegan League Tarbiat Yazd . His team started the 2008/2009 season with three consecutive wins, but at the end of the season Tarbiat finished in 5th place of Group B, as a result of which the club did not enter the Iranian Championship. He continued his work with the club the following season and led the team to third place. At the end of the season, he resigned from the post of head coach of Tarbiat Yazd to become the head coach of another Nassaji Mazenderan team.

Nassaji Mazenderan

Rah Ahan

After Ali Daei became the head coach of the Rah Ahan club, he invited his former teammate to the position of team coach. Yahya worked with Daei one season as his assistant, but left the Rah Ahan coaching staff at the end of the season to head the Saba Kom for the second time.

Return to Saba

After Abdullah Weissi left the Saba Kom, moving to Paykan , Golmohammadi returned to the club where he began his coaching career four years later, and was appointed new head coach, signing a one-year contract. His first match ended in a 4-0 victory for the team over Paykan. On August 5, 2012, the club defeated Persepolis 2-0 at the Azadi Stadium . However, in the middle of the season, Golmohammadi was sent to the hospital due to heart problems. He resigned as head coach on September 24, 2012 for health reasons. At the time of departure, the team took 7th place in the standings.

Persepolis

On September 25, 2012, Persepolis announced that Golmohammadi would become assistant coach to Manuel Jose . He officially began his work on September 26th. On December 7, 2012, Golmohammadi was appointed acting head coach after Jose's dismissal. Three days later, he was approved as the club’s head coach and signed a contract with the club until the end of the season [5] . Golmohammadi appointed Vinko Begovic and Karim Bagheri as his assistants.

His first game as a head coach took place in the Iran Cup match against the Malawan club, which his team won with a score of 6: 0 [6] . His team won three more matches in this tournament, losing to the Sepahana in the penalty spot . His first game in the championship of Iran against Sanat Naft ended with a score of 2: 2. In the match against Fajr Sepasi , which ended 2-0, Golmohammadi won his first victory in the Iranian championship as a Persepolis coach. Under his leadership, the club held a series of 11 matches without defeats, which ended on March 10, 2013 in the match against Rakh Ahan (0: 1). Persepolis finished the season in seventh place. The club management offered Golmohammadi a new contract for two years, but after the Iran Cup final , he refused to sign it and left the club on May 11, 2013.

Naft Tehran

On May 20, 2013, Yahya signed a one-year contract with Naft Tehran . His team began the season with a 1-0 victory in the match against Fajr Sepasi . Naft Tehran finished the 2013/2014 season in third place, qualifying in the playoffs of the AFC Champions League , which was the best result of the club in its history. May 10, 2014 Golmokhammadi moved from "Naft Tehran" to " Zob Ahan ."
