Biography
The first success in Kazadi’s career was the victory in 1968 at the Africa Cup , according to which he won the prize for the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Six years later, in 1976 , the Zairians, along with Kazadi, repeated this success.
In 1974, the Zaire team first made it to the World Cup , which was held in Germany. Kazadi was the main goalkeeper of the team. In the first game with the Scots, he conceded only two goals, and in the second game against Yugoslavia , by the 20th minute, he had to get the ball out of his net three times. After that, he was replaced by Ndembi Tubilanda , who conceded another 6 goals. Mwamba Kazadi became the first goalkeeper in the history of the World Cups, who was replaced not because of an injury, but because of an unsatisfactory game. In the game of the last round with the Brazilians, Kazadi again returned to the gates of the team and conceded three goals from the current world champions.
In total, Zaire spent 20 matches for the national team [2] .
