Small Miassovo is a lake located in the eastern foothills of the Ural Mountains , 62 km west of Chelyabinsk and 10 km east of Miass , on the border of the Chebarkul and Argayash districts of the Chelyabinsk region . Partially adjacent to the Ilmensky reserve . On the shores of the lake are the villages of Urazbaeva , Malaya Kuysarina , Krutolapova , belonging to the Yaratkulovsky rural settlement of Argayashsky district and the village of Upper Karasi, Nepryakhinsky rural settlement of Chebarkulsky district.

Of tectonic origin, the channel connects to Lake Big Miassovo. The lake has developed aquatic vegetation, wetlands are found, the banks are represented by wooded voids. The bottom is mostly rocky, in some places muddy. The influx of water is provided by springs and small rivers.
Roach , perch , pike , ruff, tench, crucian carp, burbot, vendace, whitefish are found in the lake.
Popular for relaxing due to its beautiful landscapes. Pine and mixed forests grow on the shores. There are rock outcrops in the form of stone ridges, slabs, blocks and stone placers.
There are archaeological sites near the lake. The Linden Kurya parking lot was the haven of a small tribe about 5 thousand years ago. In total, about 30 prehistoric settlements and many different artifacts were discovered: clay vases with ornaments, stone knives, scrapers.
The people of the lake have a second name - "Miass", with the letter "e" at the end.
