Career
Club
He began his career at home. In 1998, he played for the Trinidad team Queens Park CC . In 2000, Edwards was noticed by Wrexham coaches and invited him to the team. As a result, for 5 seasons Trinidad was one of the leaders of the club.
From 2005 to 2007, the midfielder played in the Championship for Luton Town .
In 2007, he signed a contract with the English Premier League club Sunderland . But Edwards failed to get into the main team. In 2008, he went on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers . In total, for Sunderland in the strongest league in England, Carlos Edwards spent 50 games and scored 5 goals.
In 2009, the midfielder moved to Ipswich Town , where he was the team captain and played more than 150 matches in the national championship. In early 2014, the Trinidadan on a loan basis moved to Millwall , and at the end of the season he signed a contract with the team.

For the national team of Trinidad and Tobago, Carlos Edwards made his debut in 1999. In 2006, he attended the World Cup in Germany . At the tournament, the defender held all three meetings for the “football warriors”.
