Magdi Abdelgani Seyid Ahmed ( Arabic: مجدي عبد الغني سيد أحمد ; July 27, 1959 ) is a former Egyptian footballer and midfielder.

Club career
Magdi Abdelgani, being a pupil of the Cairo club Al-Ahli , made his debut in 1979. As part of Al-Ahli, Abdelgani three times became the champion of Egypt, won the Egypt Cup, also won the Cup of Africa Cup Holders three times and the African Champion Cup 1 time. In 1988, Abdelgani moved to the Portuguese Beira Mar , and in 1992 he returned to Egypt, where he ends his football career.
Team Career
Magdi Abdelgani joined the Egyptian national team at the 1990 World Cup . Of the 3 matches of Egypt at the tournament, Abdelgani spent all 3 without substitutions: group stage matches against the national teams of the Netherlands , Ireland and England . In the match with the Dutch, Abdelgani scored from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute, this goal was the only one for the Egyptian national team in the tournament and brought her a draw [1] .
