Club
He graduated from the Kirov football school, where he trained with Yuri Viktorovich Shabalin and Oleg Arkadevich Ovechkin. Repeatedly received invitations from the local Dynamo , but chose the Kirov-based Mashinostroitel, who played in the KFK championship. At Mashinostroitel Alexei was noticed and invited to the team by several professional clubs, including Vologda Dynamo and Kostroma Spartak . As a result, the player chose Dynamo [2] . In the winter of 2011, there were two training camps at the Spartak-Nalchik club, but, not waiting for an offer to sign a contract, he left the training camp. Then he received an invitation from the Vladikavkaz “ Alania ” and even attended a training camp with the team, but refused to sign the contract, as the leadership saw him as a reserve player. For two years in Vologda he scored 24 goals and became the top scorer of the team of this period.
In 2012, Pugin joined Dynamo Bryansk, which performed at the FNL , where he played the second part of the 2011/12 season. During this time he played for the team in 13 matches.
Before the start of the 2012/13 season, he moved to Volgograd Rotor . In the winter of 2013, at a training camp of the Volgograd team, he received a knee injury [3] , after which he recovered for a long time and missed the end of the 2012/13 season and the beginning of the 2013/14 season. The following season, the Volgograd club was expelled from the FNL due to underfunding [4] , and Pugin, having passed the viewing, signed a two-year contract with the Moscow Torpedo [5] . On August 2, 2014 he made his debut with the Torpedo in the Premier League, having played 61 minutes in the match against CSKA . In total in the Premier League in the season 2014/15 he played 19 matches and scored three goals.
July 10, 2015 it became known that the footballer signed a two-year contract with Tomyu . He made his debut in the Tomsk club on July 11, 2015 in a match with Spartak-2 , replacing Pavel Nekhaychik on the field. In the same match, he scored his first goal for the club. On August 17, 2015, in a match against Torpedo, Armavir scored a hat-trick . In total, in the 2015/16 season he took part in 35 Tommy matches in the FNL championship and was marked by seven goals scored. In addition, Pugin played in two Tommy play-offs against Kuban for the right to enter the Premier League. In the second leg, the footballer scored an assist, which helped the team reach the Premier League. In the 2016/17 season, he scored 4 goals in 21 matches and became the team's top scorer of the season. In the summer of 2017, he broke off the contract with the Tomsk club. August 17 moved to Moscow “Ararat” , in November terminated the contract.
On February 2, 2018, he returned to Tomi.
