Biography
Born on November 3, 1964 in the city of Ordzhonikidze (now Vladikavkaz ), in the family of the painter Batra Nikolaevich Kalmanov (1920-1981). He studied at school number 5 in Ordzhonikidze .
In 1979-1982 studied at the B.V. Johanson Leningrad Secondary Art School at the Leningrad Institute of Painting of Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin in Leningrad .
In 1982-1990 studied at the Leningrad Institute of Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin (workshop of Hero of Socialist Labor, USSR People's Artist Andrei Andreevich Mylnikov ), who graduated with honors. Thesis - the painting "Reflection" (rating - "excellent").
In 1993 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation .
The artist's works are stored in a number of Russian museums, in private collections in Russia and abroad, in particular in the USA, France, Spain and Germany.
Lives and works in Vladikavkaz .
