Biography

He started playing football in his native Birobidzhan , where he started playing football at an adult level, playing for the teams “Builder” (class “B”) and “Energetik” (championship of the region). In 1972, he was drafted into the army, at first he served as a driver, then he got into a sports company, where he was noticed by the coach of the Khabarovsk army Boris Semenov , so Ryutin was in the double of the Khabarovsk SKA . After the end of his military service, he remained in the army team, since 1974 he played for its main staff.

For 12 years he was the main central defender of the Khabarovsk team. He was distinguished by a strong long-range strike, he was a full-time performer of standard provisions - penalties and penalties. In 1979, together with the team he left the second league in the first, in the winning season he scored 17 goals in the second league tournament, and the next year, in the debut season in the first league - 16 goals, 5 of them from the penalty spot. According to the results of the 1980 season, he was included in the symbolic team of the first league and was called up to the team of the RSFSR. In 1984, the club was headed by Leonid Nazarenko , who did not rely on local veterans, but on players who came with him, and the next year Gennady Ryutin had to end his career. The last match for the army team was held as part of the 1/8 finals of the USSR Cup 1985/86 in Moscow against Torpedo .

During his career, only in the championships of the country, Ryutin played 410 matches and scored 92 goals; in terms of the number of goals for his career, he ranks second in the history of SKA-Energia after striker Vladimir Kozlov . He is one of the best scorers in the First League of the USSR among the defenders.

After leaving football, he played for the veteran teams of Khabarovsk for several years, then returned to Birobidzhan and played for the veterans of this city. In the last years of his life he was seriously ill.

He died on June 4, 2014 at the 61st year of his life [1] .

Family

Gennady's younger brother, Victor, was also a footballer, playing in the position of striker.
