Biography
Born June 15, 1925 in the village of Aulie-Ata, now the Republic of Kazakhstan. Uzbek. He graduated from 10 classes and 2 courses of the Veterinary College.
Drafted into the Red Army by the Dzhambul district military enlistment office of the Kazakh SSR in 1943. Member of the Great Patriotic War since August 1943. In 1944 he graduated from accelerated courses of junior lieutenants in the Tashkent Infantry Red Banner of the Order of the Red Star School named after V.I. Lenin.
The platoon commander of the 175th Guards Rifle Regiment, the Komsomol member of the Guard, Lieutenant Mikhail Fayazov distinguished himself in battles when crossing the Oder River on January 23, 1945. Having taken command of the company, he was among the first to cross the left bank of the river in the vicinity of the village of Dobern (now Dobrzeń Wielki, Opole County , Opole Voivodeship , Poland ). The company under the command of Fayazov seized the bridgehead, repelled several enemy counterattacks, participated in the capture of two settlements, and defeated the headquarters of the enemy unit.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, for the exemplary execution of the combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism shown at the same time, guards Lieutenant Fayazov Mikhail Giyasovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
