Biography

Born in the village of Koshelevka, Leninsky district, Tula region in the family of an employee. He graduated from 7 classes. He worked as a mechanic at the Tula arms factory. In February 1942, he was evacuated to the east from the plant to Saratov . The workshop began to be located on the territory of the Tractor Plant. Already from here, Korolev volunteered to go to the front.

In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army . In the training regiment received the specialty of a signalman, was left by a sergeant. In the reserve regiment, Sergeant Korolev trained three signalmen groups of thirty people each. In October 1943, with the fourth, he left for the front.

As part of the 33rd Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade, the Korolyov signalman fought on the 2nd Ukrainian , then the 1st Belorussian fronts. Providing the battalion commander with clear communication in a combat situation, Sergeant Korolev showed military skill and resourcefulness, determination and self-control, courage and heroism. Often, signalmen had to engage in battle with the enemy. In July 1944 he was awarded the medal "For Military Merit."

On August 1, 1944, in the battle for the settlement of Nadma, under enemy fire, he eliminated several gusts on the communication line, providing continuous control of the battle. During the counterattack, opponents leaked into the infantry battle formations. Sergeant Korolev with two fighters joined the battle. The machine gunners destroyed over a dozen fascists with automatic bursts, five of which were on the commander’s account. When the counterattack was repulsed, the signalmen found the place of the next impulse and corrected the damaged line. By an order of August 22, 1944, the guard Sergeant Korolev Vladimir Sergeyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On the Vistula River in January 1945, the senior sergeant Korolev acted even more decisively and was affected by the experience of previous battles. It was adopted by the CPSU / CPSU.

On January 29, 1945, in a battle near the city of Waldenberg, Korolev led a rifle platoon. Fulfilling the order of the command, he and his comrades suddenly burst into the village of Brest-Kuyavsky and attacked the enemy units, covering up the withdrawal of the main forces. In a short battle, seventeen enemy soldiers were destroyed, three guns and two easel machine guns were captured. By order of the troops of the 2nd Guards Tank Army of March 11, 1945, the Guard, Sergeant Korolev Vladimir Sergeyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

Later he fought on the Oder, stormed Potsdam and Berlin. In these battles, he was twice wounded, but did not fail before the complete defeat of the enemy.

On April 27, 1945, in the battle for the city of Potsdam, Korolev spent 12 days eliminating communications damage under heavy enemy fire. On May 1, in the battles on the streets of Berlin, signalmen performed not only their direct duties, but also clashed hand-to-hand with the Nazis. After the Victory, he continued to serve in the army.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for the exceptional courage, courage and fearlessness shown at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War in battles with enemy invaders of the guard, Senior Sergeant Korolev Vladimir Sergeyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

In 1947, the foreman, Korolyov, was demobilized. He returned to his homeland. In 1955, he was elected chairman of the Krasnaya Sloboda collective farm in the Volovsky district of the Tula region . For five years, Korolev managed to rally the team, achieve high levels of agricultural production and was awarded the Order of Lenin for this.

Later he moved to the regional center - the city of Tula . He was the director of the Tula regional food factory. Participant of the Victory Parade 1995.

He was awarded the orders of Lenin , World War 1 degree, Glory 3 degrees, "Badge of Honor", medals. Honorary citizen of the hero city of Tula . Honorary citizen of the Tula region.
