Gruzskoye is a salt-mud lake in the southeastern part of the Oryol region of the Rostov Region .

Belongs to the Manych lake group of reservoirs of relict (marine) origin. It is located north of Manych-Gudilo Lake, from which it is separated by a flat hillock up to 3-5 m high.
The reservoir area is 8.25 km² [1] . The lake has a fairly regular shape of an elongated oval about 10.5 km long and 1.5 km wide. The shores of the lake sometimes rise to 3 m, several steppe beams flow into it [3] . On the northern shore of the lake is the village of Manych .
Healing properties
On the lake, brine is mined - the mineral water of the lake. The amount of brine depends on the air temperature (season of the year) and the amount of precipitation. In the absence of wind, brine is evenly distributed on the surface of the lake bottom. In the wind, it quickly rushes to one side, sometimes exposing 2/3 or more of the bottom of the lake. The surface of the lake with brine is always smooth, mirrored. Rapa has a bitter, salty, burning taste; to the touch brine oily. The temperature of brine varies by season. In summer, it reaches (20–380), thanks to the high and steep shores protecting the lake from the wind [3] .
Since the 17th century, the climate-health-care center Manych has been operating on the lake. It was treated with mud, brine baths and koumiss. At the beginning of the XIX century, the hospital was closed, resumed activity in 1886. The device of the hospital was entrusted to the manager of the mining and salt parts in the field of the Donskoy army V. A. Wagner and the doctor I. I. Vladykin. In 1908, the sanitary station was called "Wagner". On April 10, 1909, the "Regulation on the Wagner Manich-Georgian Sanitary Station [3] was highly approved."
