Club career
Acuna is a graduate of the O'Higgins Club from his hometown. In 1994, he made his debut for the team in the Chilean Example at the age of 19. For three seasons with O'Higgins, Clarence, despite his age, was a hardcore footballer. In 1997, he moved to the " Universidad de Chile ", which included twice won the championship and the Chilean Cup .
After successful performances in their homeland, European clubs became interested in Akunya.
