Biography

Born on April 2, 1910 in the village of Spring, now Bodaibinsky District, Irkutsk Region.

He lived in the village of Pokrovka Achinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He worked as a miner at the mine in Yakutia.

In the Red Army since August 1941. In the army since September 1943. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944.

A foot reconnaissance platoon scout of the 273rd Guards Rifle Regiment of the Guards Red Army soldier Viktor Streltsov was among the first on September 29, 1943 with a group of fighters to cross the Dnieper River near the Keleberda village of the Kremenchug district of the Poltava region of Ukraine . The group, conducting reconnaissance in force, clarified the system of fire in the defense of the enemy. In the battlefield on the bridgehead of the guard, the Red Army soldier V. N. Streltsov destroyed several opponents and obtained valuable intelligence information.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 20, 1943, for exemplary performance of the combat tasks of the command and the courage and heroism shown to the Red Army soldiers Streltsov Viktor Nikolayevich, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .

After the war, VN Streltsov was demobilized. He worked in Yakutia at the Lena mine , then in the Chelyabinsk region .

He lived in the city of Krivoy Rog , where he died on May 31, 1972.
