Biography
Born December 19, 1920 in the city of Sukhinichi (now - Kaluga region ) in the family of an employee. He graduated from the 7 classes, the school factory apprenticeship. He worked as a blacksmith at one of the factories in the city of Kaluga.
With the beginning of World War II, he himself came to the military enlistment office. Having a “white ticket” in his hands, he was not subject to mobilization, but nevertheless achieved dispatch to the front. Since November 1941, in the 78th rifle division, the Red Army soldier Lyantsev fought on the approaches to Moscow .
In the summer of 1944, near Vitebsk, at the breakthrough of enemy defenses at the coordinates of Lyantsev, the artillery suppressed many enemy fire weapons and provided the infantrymen with a combat mission. From the bridgehead on the Neman, the reconnaissance commander Lyantsev skillfully corrected the fire of batteries. During the day, under the target designation, five machine gun points, a mortar battery and an anti-tank gun were destroyed under the Lithuanian village of Boblavki. On October 18, 1944, Sergeant Lyantsev, while at the observation post of the battalion, corrected the battery fire in the battle for Eidtkunen village. According to his target designation 2 enemy tanks were hit. October 27, 1944 was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield. By order of December 18, 1944, Sergeant Lyantsev Nikolai Vasilyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
In the spring of 1945, the division, in which Sergeant Lyantsev served, participated in battles to eliminate the enemy grouping in East Prussia. As always, the artillery scout was next to the infantrymen, in their combat formations. On March 26, 1945, near the village of Gross-Hoppenbruch, Sergeant Lyantsev, while in combat formations of infantry, found 4 machine-gun points and 1 gun, which were then suppressed by artillery fire. On April 13, 1945, 20 kilometers north-west of the city, Koenigsberg was wounded, but remained in service. And when a group of fascists broke into the area of the observation post, Lyantsev, together with the infantry, entered into a hand-to-hand fight and destroyed four enemy soldiers. By order of April 25, 1945, Sergeant Lyantsev Nikolai Vasilyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
With the defeat of Germany, the war for Senior Sergeant Lyantsev did not end. As part of his division, transferred to the Far East, he again distinguished himself in battles. On August 9, 1945, when breaking through enemy defenses 27 kilometers north-west of the city of Grodekovo, Pogranichny district of the Primorsky Territory , Sergeant Lyantsev threw grenades at the gunhole and put down a machine gun. In a fight in a trench destroyed 7 Japanese. On August 13, near the city of Moulins, with a group of scouts, he held height for 6 hours, reflecting the onslaught of the enemy. He was seriously wounded, but did not leave the battlefield.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 23, 1945 for exceptional courage, bravery and courage shown in battles, Senior Sergeant Lyantsev Nikolai Vasilyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. Became a full gentleman of the Order of Glory.
In 1946, N. V. Lyantsev was demobilized. He lived in the hero-city of Moscow . In 1967 he joined the CPSU . He worked as a blacksmith, a foreman, a senior engineer of the department of material and technical supply at the factory. He died on September 11, 1987. He was buried at the Vostryakovsky cemetery of Moscow .
