Biography
Alexey Sidorishin was born on January 27, 1921 in the village of Yosypivka (now - Starosinyavsky district of the Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine ). From 1930 he lived in Moscow , graduated from high school, after which he worked as a turner. In 1940, Sidorishin was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1941, he graduated from the Kirovabad military aviation school of pilots. Since the beginning of World War II - on its fronts [1] .
By the end of the war, Guards Senior Lieutenant Alexey Sidorishin commanded the link of the 226th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 13th Guards Bomber Air Division of the 2nd Guards Bomber Air Corps of the 18th Air Army. During his participation in the war, he made 279 combat missions to bombard important enemy targets, causing great damage to him. May 10, 1945 for these merits Sidorishin was presented to the title of Hero of the Soviet Union [1] .
He also participated in the battles of the Soviet-Japanese war . He was tragically killed on November 7, 1945, buried in his native village [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Senior Lieutenant Alexei Sidorishin was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for the “courage, courage and heroism shown throughout the war in battles with the German invaders” of the Guard. He was also awarded two Orders of Lenin , two Orders of the Red Banner and a number of medals [1] .
