The party career of Semyon Plotkin developed unevenly. He was expelled from the party, checking the signal of his previous membership in the Komsomol - Trotskyists , but then restored again. In 1935, he was punished by “severe reprimand with the last warning” “for dulling class vigilance” due to the fact that a certain Grigory Schneider worked for six months in the city executive committee as technical secretary for someone else's party card [1] .

However, in 1936, Simon Plotkin was elected chairman of the Melitopol City Executive Committee. But already in 1937 he was removed from office [2] .

Freed from prison, Plotkin became deputy director of the plant to them. Thieves. In the summer of 1941, he organized the evacuation of the plant, and then went to the front.
