Description
They feed on plant juices from such families as Bignoniaceae : Jacaranda ovalifolia ; Jacaranda mimosaefolia ; Euphorbiaceae : Euphorbiaceae pulcherrima ; Malvaceae : Grewia monticola ; Grewia flavescens ; Meliaceae : Melia ; Verbenaceae : Vitex petersiana . [1] [5] [6] [7] . The taxon Ceroplastes longicauda is included in the genus Ceroplastes Gray, 1828 (tribe Ceroplastini ) together with the species Ceroplastes brevicauda , Ceroplastes eugeniae , Ceroplastes uapacae , Ceroplastes spicatus , Ceroplastes helichrysi , Ceroplastereseddae , 8en , others.
