Creating a Corps

The 11th Fighter Aviation Corps was formed by order of the USSR NPO in January 1944 by giving it units and formations of the 5th Guards and 190th Fighter Aviation Divisions.

Case Conversion

By the Directive of the General Staff of January 10, 1949, the 11th Konigsberg Fighter Aviation Corps was renamed the 54th Konigsberg Fighter Aviation Corps [1]

Corps

In connection with the change in military doctrine, the 54th Fighter Aviation Konigsberg Corps on November 5, 1955 was disbanded [2] as part of the 30th Air Army .
