History
It arose in the XIII century, it was indicated as "Street behind the Church of John ." Since the XIV century it has its present name, which in its subsequent history has not changed.
In 1969, in the cellars and in the courtyards of houses on the street, ancient walls of lime blocks were discovered; earlier, white stone Roman bases of two columns were found in the foundation pit at house 7. Presumably, these are fragments of the first bishop's castle (1201-1232).
