Biography
In 1991, Reinert and Paul Masvidal (who also played in Cynic) were invited by Chuck Schuldiner to the group “ Death ” to record the album “ Human ” . This album marked the beginning of the technical death metal genre. After touring with " Death " in support of this album, Sean and Paul returned to "Cynic".
In 1993, the album “ Focus ” was released. This work was a major milestone in the history of technical / progressive metal genres . You can also find a definition for the genre in which this album is recorded as “jazz death metal”. The recording was made on the label Roadrunner Records . Due to the constant demand, Roadrunner re-released this release in 2005 with a special collection edition. After the collapse of the group in 1994, Reinert took part in the Portal project for the Cinic project, which was outside for the musicians. Portal released one demo and fell apart. The group released albums in 2004 and 2007, appeared on national and satellite TV channels, sounded on radio and even appeared on several TV shows and on movie soundtracks.
In 2006, it was announced that the Cynic Group would reunite to conduct a tour, which took place in the summer of 2007.
