Biography

Born on December 5, 1920 in the village of Arkhangelskoye, Anninsky District, Voronezh Region . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943. He lived in the city of Istra, Moscow Region . He graduated from 7 classes of the school named after A.P. Chekhov, the school of FZU. He worked as a milling machine operator at a plant in the city of Kaliningrad, Moscow Region .

In the fall of 1940, while passing the military medical commission at the Mytishchi military registration and enlistment office, Shishov was declared "unfit for military service." He achieved a re-examination, but this time a friend passed the doctors for Sergey. Shishov served as a signalman in the Leningrad Military District. In the spring of 1941, during the exercises, he felt ill and was commissioned. He returned to the unit for documents on June 21, but did not leave home.

Member of the Great Patriotic War since July 1941. The first battle was taken near the island of the Pskov region . He fought on the Volkhov, 3rd Baltic and 1st Ukrainian fronts. In battles with the German-enemy invaders, he was wounded thirteen times, but after treatment in the hospital he returned to duty each time.

The head of the radio station of the 299th rifle regiment, senior sergeant Sergei Shishov, on January 14-20, 1944, in battles for the city of Novgorod under enemy fire provided uninterrupted radio communications to the regiment commander. By order of the 225th Infantry Division No. 021 / n dated February 20, 1944, Sergeant Shishov Sergey Nikolaevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree for courage and bravery shown in battles.

The radio operator of the same regiment, division, senior sergeant Sergei Shishov July 21, 1944 at the Punduri station in a difficult situation, having contacted the main forces, fired on himself, which ensured the performance of the regiment's combat mission. July 28, 1944 near the village of Blutis at a critical moment of the battle with grenades and fire from a machine gun repelled the attack of an enemy group, destroying five enemy soldiers. By order of the Commander of the 54th Army, No. 0126 / n dated August 13, 1944, for the courage and bravery shown in battles, Sergeant Sergey Shishov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

On February 10, 1945, in the battle for the city of Shurgast, the head of the radio station of the same regiment and division, senior sergeant Sergei Shishov, provided the commander of the regiment with stable radio communications, eliminated more than ten enemy soldiers when counterattacked, and captured one.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 10, 1945, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with German-enemy invaders, Sergeant Sergey Shishov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.

He finished the war in Czechoslovakia . As part of the consolidated regiment of the 1st Ukrainian Front, he participated in the historic Victory Parade on June 24, 1945 in Moscow on Red Square.

In 1945, S. N. Shishov was demobilized from the Armed Forces of the USSR. He lived in the Tushino district of the hero city of Moscow . In 1960 he graduated from the Aviation College. He worked as a senior process engineer at the design bureau. He died suddenly on December 17, 1979.

He was awarded the orders of Glory of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, medals, including “For Courage”, “For Combat Merit”, “For the Defense of Leningrad”, “For the Liberation of Prague”, “For the Victory over Germany”.
