Biography
Born on December 25, 1918 in the village of Zhilevo, Ozersky District, Moscow Region . He graduated from the 5 classes, school FZU. He worked at a factory in the city of Kolomna, Moscow Region .
In the Red Army since 1938. Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-40.
In the battles of World War II from June 1941. Fought on the 1st and 4th Ukrainian fronts.
On July 19, 1944, the commander of the calculation of the guns of the 177th separate anti-tank and anti-tank battalion, Sergeant-Major Nikolai Lepekhov, operating in the battle formations of the infantry, knocked out a tank, destroyed more than ten enemy soldiers, helped repel enemy counterattacks. For courage and bravery shown in battles, Sergeant-Major Lepekhov Nikolay Ivanovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree on July 27, 1944.
In August 1944, near the village of Voroblevichi, they destroyed over the infantry unit with exact fire. In the battle for the city of Drohobych, Lviv region of Ukraine, he crossed the Tysmenyitsa River, disabled a machine gun and over ten opponents. For courage and bravery shown in battles, Sergeant-Major Lepekhov Nikolai Ivanovich on September 10, 1944 was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On April 29, 1945, in the battle near Moravská Ostrava near the village of Petříkovice, while repelling an enemy counterattack, foreman Nikolai Lepekhov destroyed four machine guns, many infantrymen, and suppressed the fire of an anti-tank gun.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1946, for exemplary performance of command tasks in battles with German-enemy invaders, Sergeant-Major Lepekhov Nikolai Ivanovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming a full knight of the Order of Glory.
In 1945, N. I. Lepekhov was demobilized from the Armed Forces of the USSR. He worked as a test mechanic in the city of Kaliningrad, Moscow Region . He died on September 24, 1986. He was buried at Nevzorovsky cemetery (school number 35) ., Pushkin District, Moscow Region.
He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree, the Order of Glory, 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, medals.
