Biography
Born in 1914 in the Turkestan region (today - Nurinsky district , Karaganda region , Kazakhstan ). In the 1930s, he joined the Orkendi collective farm. In 1942 he was appointed as a link of a field leader.
In 1946, the field unit under the leadership of Kasim Takenov gathered 19.5 centners of grain from a plot of 20 hectares instead of the planned 12 centners. In 1947, the link gathered from a plot of 10 hectares of 22 centners of grain instead of the planned 8 centners. For this valiant work, he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor in 1948.
