In the same year, the song reached third place on the Australian charts, although in the United States it became only a minor hit [3] . Its author at the time of writing the song was only 17 years old.

- The cover version, recorded by Italian artist , published in the same year, achieved moderate success in the UK and Italy.
- The version of the British band The Swinging Blue Jeans , released in December 1963, became a hit in the UK, reaching second place on the charts [4] . The success of this single in the United States was less noticeable, but, nevertheless, the song became the band's greatest American hit.
- The song has long been in the live repertoire of the Beatles group [2] (in particular, the group performed it during their stay in Hamburg in December 1962 [5] ). The group recorded their version of the song for the BBC several times; The version, recorded July 10, 1963, was included in the compilation album Live at the BBC , released in 1994.
