Distribution

Australia [1] .

Description

Small short-winged beetles - palps ( Pselaphinae ). Body length about 2 mm. On the head, the keel between the antennae is not interrupted in the middle. Abdomen usually with the longest 3-4 (VI-VII) m visible tergites. The genus was first described in 2001 by the entomologist Donald S. Chandler ( University of New Hampshire , Durham , New Hampshire , USA ) [2] based on the type species Logasa novaeanglia and two previously known taxa from the genus Sagola [3] .

Systematics

The genus Logasa includes 3 species, assigned to the tribe Faronini (nadriba Faronitae Reitter, 1882 ) from the subfamily Pselaphinae together with the genus Sagola [3] .
