The boundaries are established by the Law of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of June 24, 1997 No. 14-521 “On the approval of the borders of the city of Lesosibirsk of the Krasnoyarsk Territory”
The status of the urban district is endowed with the Law of the Krasnoyarsk Territory dated February 25, 2005 No. 13-3128 “On the assignment of the municipal entity of the city of Lesosibirsk with the status of the urban district”
