Description

They feed on the roots of plants such as Haloxylon , Artemisia ( Amaranthaceae ) ^[2] . The species was first described in 1926 by the entomologist W. J. Hall ( Hall, WJ ) as Ripersia artemisiae ^[1] ^[4] ^[5] . The taxon Euripersia artemisiae is included in the genus Euripersia Borchsenius, 1948 . The species name is derived from the generic name of the host plant ( Artemisia ), on which the development of the worms occurs ^[1] .
