Great xenosaurus [1] ( lat. Xenosaurus grandis ) is a species of lizards , the largest representative of the genus True xenosaurs from the xenosaur family. It has 5 subspecies.

The total length reaches 24 cm [2] . It has a very large head, a flat body, a very thin and rounded tail. The back color is brown with yellowish-brown spots, the head is uniform in color. Limbs powerful and strong. The scales are small. The back is covered with numerous tubercles.
He likes tropical rainforests, foothills. Climbs well on rocks and rocks. Hides under stones and among trees, sometimes in hollows. Active at night. It feeds on termites, ants, sometimes small mammals, plant flowers and fruits. The greatest enemies of this xenosaur are the eagles. When danger opens wide the mouth; A big xenosaur bite can be dangerous.
This is the ovoviviparous lizard. The female gives birth to 2-3 cubs up to 4 cm.
He lives in southeastern Mexico and Guatemala [3] .
