Ekaterina Viktorovna Bankerova (born November 6, 1989 in Leningrad ) is a Russian rugby player, defender of the Krasny Yar team and the Russian national rugby 7 team. Champion of the Universiade 2013, champion of Europe 2014. Master of Sports of Russia of international class [2] .

Biography
Born on January 6, 1988 [1] in Leningrad. From childhood, she was engaged in professional cycling at the Olympic Hopes school, but in 2010 she became a rugby player: she was invited through the Internet by the captain of the Ministry of Internal Affairs team, Ekaterina Sokolova [3] . She graduated from the Russian State University of Tourism and Service [1] [4] . She played in the teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and “Slava-ShVSM”, since 2011 she has been playing for “Krasny Yar”.
I got into the Russian national rugby 7 team in 2012, I participated with her in the 2013 World Cup in Moscow, in the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan and two European Championships in 2013 and 2014, I won both times. In 2013, in the group stage in the match with Ukraine, she successfully completed 6 realizations (2 points each), and also scored 2 points in the final due to the implementation [5] . In 2014, in the semi-final, one of its implementation allowed Russia to reach the final and win the European Championship ahead of schedule [6] .
Collecting rare coins and banknotes is his hobby. Favorite rugby team calls the New Zealand team [7] . She dreamed of playing at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , the program of which included rugby 7 [8] , but the Russian team did not qualify there.
In 2015, Catherine became the bronze medalist of the European Championship of Classic Rugby, held in Switzerland; a year later, she won the same award at the European Championship in Spain.
