Geographical position
It is located 24 km southeast of Dmitrovsk on the Checher river. Height above sea level - 249 m [2] .
History
In the XIX century, Kucheryaevka was the owner's village. In 1866, there were 48 courtyards, 390 people lived (187 males and 203 females), 4 oil mills operated [3] . Until the 1920s, the village was part of the Ploshchansky volost of the Dmitrov district of the Oryol province .
During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to August 9, 1943, it was in the zone of Nazi occupation.
