Career

In the late 1940s, he played for the teams of LFC, “Lokomotiv” from Avdiivka and Yasinovataya . In 1950 he entered the Stalin Metallurgical Technical School, for whose team he began to speak. At the end of 1951, he was noticed and invited to Shakhtar . As part of the Pitmen, he made his debut on July 20, 1952, in a match with Torpedo Moscow [1] . In total, he played 7 matches in the first season and scored 1 goal. In 1956, Sapronov was in the team of the Ukrainian SSR at the Games of the Peoples of the USSR , where he took 3rd place. During his performance for Shakhtar, Sapronov wanted to take CSKA to him, but the transition failed [2] . In the last years of his career, he twice won the USSR Cup and once again was a finalist [3] . In total, for the Donetsk club Sapronov played 270 games, scoring 49 goals [4] .

After completing a career, he headed the department of physical education at Donetsk State University .
