Josef Adamec ( Slovak Jozef Adamec ; , - , ) is a Slovak footballer, striker, and trainer.

Career
Joseph spent most of his player’s career in Spartak from Trnava (1959–61, 1963–64, 1966–76). While serving in the army, he was part of the Prague Dukla (1961-63), also spent one year with Slovan from Bratislava (1964-65) and completed his player’s career in Vienna 's Slovan (1977-80).
In total, he played 383 matches in the Czechoslovak League and scored 170 goals, which is the 10th result in the list of league scorers in history. He played 44 matches for the Czechoslovak team and scored 14 goals. He participated in the 1962 World Cup in Chile and the 1970 World Cup in Mexico .
On June 23, 1968 in Bratislava he hatred against the Brazilian national team in the match Czechoslovakia - Brazil 3: 2 (1: 1).
After completing a player’s career, Adamec began his career as a coach. He worked as an assistant at Spartak from Trnava . He later coached Dukla (Banska Bystrica) , Tatran , Spartak (Trnava) , Slovan (Bratislava) and Inter (Bratislava) . From 1999 to 2001 he coached the national team of Slovakia .
He died on December 24, 2018 at the age of 76 years [3] .
