Biography
Born October 27, 1927 in a peasant family in the village of Yablonnoe (today - Gorodetsky district, Nizhny Novgorod region). After graduating from the three classes of elementary school, she began to work on the Timiryazev collective farm. He worked at logging, milkmaid and flax harvesting. In 1942 she was appointed a flax link manager.
In 1948, the flax growing department under the control of Praskovya Sorokina collected 6.34 centners of flax fiber and 6.78 centners of flax seeds from a 6-hectare site. For this valiant work, in 1949 she was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.
She was elected as a deputy of the Gorodetsky district council of deputies.
After retirement, she lived in the native village of Yablonnoe. She died on September 21, 2006 and was buried in the village cemetery of the village of Yablonnoe.
