Club career

In January 2007, Mikhalik transferred to Bolton Wanderers from FC Senec, signing a contract for three years. He scored his first and only goal for Bolton on April 28, 2007 at Stamford Bridge in a match against Chelsea [1] .

In March 2007, he transferred on a rental basis to Leeds United [2] . His game impressed the club's coach Dennis Wise so much that later the club bought the rights to a football player for 500 thousand pounds. In just two seasons, Mikhalik played for Leeds 49 in the league 49 games and scored one goal. On May 14, 2010, after a player received a call to the expanded list of national team players applying for a trip to the World Cup in South Africa, Leeds informed the player that he was looking for a new club.

On August 31, Lubomir goes on loan to Carlisle United . He plays his debut match against Swindon Town , which ended 0-0. On January 14, 2011, the club redeems the rights to the Leeds player [3] . Waiting for the transfer to the Hibernian , Lubo refuses to renew the contract with Carlisle and leaves the team [4] [5] .

September 12, 2012 Lubomir signs a contract with Portsmouth [6] . But he spends in the team for only six months. After Portsmouth, the player goes to Kazakhstan's Kairat , where he joins the former coach of his team, Vladimir Weiss [7] [8] . After Kairat, Lubomir signs a contract with the Slovak club DAK 1904 .

Team Career

The debut in the national team took place on December 10, 2006, in a friendly match against the UAE , in the same match he scored his first goal for the national team. May 11, 2010 was in the extended list of 29 players candidates for the trip to the World Cup in South Africa .
