Harro Koskinen ( Fin. Harro Koskinen ; August 24, 1945 , Turku , Finland ) is a Finnish artist who has become widely known thanks to a series of scandalous works in the style of pop art .

Biography
Born on August 24, 1945 in Turku, where he studied at an art school from 1965 to 1967. He worked as an art critic in a number of periodicals.
The artist became notorious in 1969, after creating a number of works with pigs . A lawsuit was opened against the artist for insulting religious feelings in the work of “The Pig Messiah”. Koskinen was sentenced to a fine [1] [2] , but the works were not confiscated. Later, the series, which includes a family of pigs at dinner, watching TV with a pig, a crucifix, the coat of arms of Finland and the coat of arms of the police with a pig and more, was acquired by Finnish museums.
In 2005, retired. In 2007, a number of art museums in Finland hosted his retrospective exhibitions.
Works
The coat of arms of Finland (“Pig Coat of Arms”, 1969) hung in the cabinet of the Minister of Culture and Sports from the party of the left Paavo Arkhinmyaki [3] .
