24,270 people ( 2013 ), including the urban population - 8,168 people. Rural - 16102 people.
Geography
Lakes, rivers, ponds occupy 0.39% of the total area of the district. 6 rivers flow through the territory of the district: Derkul, Kamyshnaya, Evsug , Bishkon, Sukhoi Obytik, Dubovets. Two reservoirs are located on the Dubovets and Kamyshnaya rivers.
The region borders on the Markov district in the north, in the West - with Starobelsky and Novoaydarsky districts, in the south - with the Stanichno-Lugansk region, in the east - with the Melovsky district, as well as with the Millerovsky district of the Rostov region of Russia .
History
As an administrative-territorial unit within the Lugansk region, Belovodsky district was formed in 1923 .
