Born in 1951 in Focsani . In 1976 he took part in the Olympic Games in Montreal , but took only 5th place. In 1980 he became the champion of the Olympic Games in Moscow . In 1984 he won the silver medal of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles . In 1988 he took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul , but it turned out to be only the 18th.
