Resonville is located 270 km east of Paris and 14 km west of Metz .
History
- The village belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Arnuld in the 7th century and the abbey of Horz from the 10th century until the Great French Revolution.
- After the defeat of France in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-1871, along with Alsace and the Moselle department, it was transferred to Germany across the Frankfurt world .
