Biography
Born in 1894 in the village of Granov, Podolsk Province (today - Gaysinsky District , Vinnitsa Region , Ukraine ).
In the 1930s, he moved to the Dzhambul oblast of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
From 1936 he worked as the chief agronomist in the Merkensky regional department of agriculture. Thanks to the activities of Stepan Guliarenko, in 1947 the collective farms of the Merken District exceeded the harvest plan by 44.2%. For the effective application of agronomical methods in the territory of the Merkene district, Stepan Guliarenko was awarded in 1948 the title of Hero of Socialist Labor.
