1957 European Gymnastics Championships (Women)

The 1st European Championships in Women's Gymnastics was held May 25-26, 1957 in Bucharest ( Romania ). 19 gymnasts from 10 countries took part in it. The tournament was called the European Cup, the ranks of the owners of the European Cup were played in individual all-around and in individual exercises. In 1969, the International Gymnastics Federation granted these competitions the status of the first European Women's Championship.
