Kyshtym dwarf

Replica of Kyshtym dwarf made in Japan

The Kyshtym dwarf, or Alyoshenka, is an anthropomorphic artifact representing unidentified mummified remains of biological origin, found in 1996 near the southern outskirts of Kyshtym in the village of Kaolinovy in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia [1] . Subsequently, the remains were lost. Currently, only photographs and videos of a mummified corpse of an unknown creature exist reliably, whose biological species has not yet been established with full certainty [2] [3] .

Evidence of its viability over a long period of time, its anatomical and physiological characteristics, behavior, and biological reactions to external stimuli cannot be established with full certainty, since all of them are based solely on the testimonies of eyewitnesses who saw him “during his life” [3] .

An artifact of biological origin in the form of poorly preserved, due to an unqualified attempt to mummify, an unusual corpse really existed, as evidenced by photos and videos. At the same time, the fact of his discovery was overgrown with various supernatural and mystical details and speculations. According to skeptics, information about its existence is in the nature of an urban legend [3] .

History

Detecting a "creature"

A strange "creature" was discovered in May 1996 in the village of Kaolinovy near Kyshtym, pensioner Tamara Vasilyevna Prosvirina [3] , who suffered from a mental illness [4] [1] . In a number of media publications , the date of his discovery erroneously indicates August, in which his already mummified remains were actually discovered. Prosvirina lived alone; son Sergei served time for a theft in dumplings, and her daughter-in-law visited her once every two weeks [4] [5] [6] . Tamara Prosvirina told her daughter-in-law, also Tamara Prosvirina, about the place of the find. According to her, she learned from her mother-in-law that she went for water to a well in the forest, where she heard a call - sounds like a faint cry. She went to the call and found a creature under a large pine [4] . According to Tamara Naumova, a neighbor, Prosvirina went into the woods near the local school and returned only three days later with a “creature” wrapped in a scarf. Nobody noticed her absence, except for Naumova, who in her daily life fed her and helped her with the housework, visiting her house every day. According to another version, Tamara Prosvirina found a creature in a local cemetery during a thunderstorm [4] [6] [7] .

Prosvirina told about this place of finding already in the hospital in the presence of the attending physician and investigator, after she was reproached that she did not report the find to the police . Leaving the "creature" to live at home, Tamara Prosvirina called him "Alyoshenka" [8] . She fed him mainly sweets [9] . The daughter-in-law of Prosvirina saw this process and confirmed that Alyoshenka was really alive and seemed to be trying to explain while feeding, making sounds resembling a whistle [4] [10] [11] .

Prosvirina told her neighbors that her son, little Alyoshenka, lives at her house. Due to the fact that she was registered with a psychiatrist , the neighbors mistook her words for another exacerbation of a mental illness and reported the strange behavior of Prosvirina to doctors [1] . Then, in mid-July, Tamara Prosvirina was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital in the village of Novogorny [7] [4] .

Finding a “creature” mummy

In August-September 1996, at that time the captain of justice, the investigator of the Kyshtym police department, Yevgeny Mokichev, investigated a criminal case on the theft of a copper electric wire from a power transmission tower in the village of Novogorny [1] [5] [6] . The suspect in the case was a local resident Vladimir Faritovich Nurtdinov [4] [5] [6] .

During interrogation, Nurtdinov said that he had a mummy of an alien hidden in his garage. According to Nurtdinov, he discovered a dead, dried body in the house of Prosvirina and took it with a view to further resale, because, in appearance, he suggested that it was the remains of an alien . For better preservation, since the remains were damp, returning home, he removed the entrails, washed with alcohol [9] , dried the mummy in the sun and hid it in the garage [12] .

Investigator Vladimir Bendlin, to whom the case came, became interested in a strange find [3] . Since the authorities did not approve of the initiative, he decided to conduct a private unofficial investigation. Moreover, the discovered dwarf, in his opinion, really correlated with the image of an alien [3] [13] .

Further developments

The story received some publicity. The result was the arrival of ufologists of the so-called "Star Academy of UFO contact according to the Zolotov method" [11] . Using phrases like “The object is abandoned for navigational and analytical contact. The exit is difficult due to annihilation and light activity, ”they convinced investigator Bendlin to transfer the mummy for study [1] [4] [14] .

It was assumed that the conclusions would be made public and the situation with the alien Alyoshenka would receive a scientific explanation. But further, neither representatives of the Star Academy, nor the Kyshtym dwarf, nor information about them in the village of Kaolinovy were noticed.

Tamara Prosvirina, when she was discharged from the hospital, lived at home for some time. Late in the evening of August 5, 1999, leaving the house, she died, falling under the wheels of a truck.

Research after the loss of the “creature” mummy

Representatives of the Japanese company TV Asahi became interested in this story [13] . The seriousness of the attitude towards the collection of materials was demonstrated by the willingness to pay more than 200 thousand US dollars for the mummy [14] . The result of active work was the television film "Following the Trail of the Alien Alyoshenka" shown on the TV Asahi network [15] .

Russian research activity was noted by Andrei Loshak , who shot the Profession - reporter for the Kyshtym dwarf television movie shown on NTV [14] , Timofey Bazhenov , who shot the Bazhenov Rating (cycle: A Man for Experiences) television show “Something” shown on “ Russia-2 ” and “ My Planet ” channels [16] , films shown on TNT , REN TV channels, etc., as well as Cosmopoisk representative, Vadim Chernobrov, who conducted his own detailed study of the phenomenon.

Origin Versions

Expertise

There was not a single official examination of the mummy of the Kyshtym dwarf. The mummy was unofficially examined by specialists only once. This was done at the initiative of investigator Vladimir Bendlin [3] . Having studied the dried up, with lost internal organs, the local pathologist Stanislav Samoshkin and the forensic expert Lyubov Romanova, who was present during the examination, considered them to be incompatible with human [17] [18] ; and the head of the gynecological department, Irina Ermolaeva and Igor Uskov, her husband, the head of the department of urology , unequivocally identified the mummy as a result of premature human births that occurred during a 20–25-week gestation period with congenital malformation syndrome [3] . In the vicinity of Kyshtym, such cases are known due to the radioactive release at the Mayak chemical plant in 1957 [3] [10] [19] .

In 2002, Vadim Chernobrov, the head of Cosmopoisk, said that he allegedly managed to get a piece of fabric in which Alyoshenka was wrapped for a long time [20] . Experts from the Institute of General Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences isolated human DNA with numerous developmental disabilities from this piece of tissue [21] .

After establishing the origin of the Ataman humanoid, head of the laboratory of the Institute of General Genetics named after N.I. Vavilov RAN Sergey Kiselev commented: “A similar story was with the Kyshtym dwarf. Many things were invented about its origin. At our institute, we examined samples of tissue in which it was wrapped, and isolated the DNA of an ordinary person, only with many pathologies in development ” [22] .

Komsomol Investigation

Recognition of the Dwarf

After 23 years, the sectarian Galina Semenkova admitted to KP reporters that after she took the mummy, the child’s body was transferred to a forensic examination. After it became known that the humanoid Aleshenka is a miscarriage of a person who was mutated [23] . Doctors have confirmed this version. Gynecologist Irina Uskova, who examined the mummy, explained that this is a variant of congenital pathology that is very common. It is called the “Shamrock-shaped Skull." This is described in the medical literature [24] .

The origin of the dwarf

According to the testimonies of local residents, after the resonance, the townspeople skeptical of rumors about an alien put forward their version of the origin of the dwarf. A miscarriage could have occurred in one of the high school students [25] . The school is located near the place of detection of Aleshenka. This also explains another fact. The schoolgirl did not go to the hospital and get registered. That is why pregnancy cards were not found in the city hospital [26] .

Taurus Disappearance

After the examination, which was carried out by Galina Semenkova, Aleshenka’s body was disposed of [27] .

In Culture

The story of the Kyshtym dwarf formed the basis of a number of works of art: in 2007 and 2008, two Yekaterinburg theaters dedicated performances to it. In the Yekaterinburg Experimental Theater “Bzdn” in 2007, the play “Alyoshenka - Kyshtym Alien” was staged. The script is based on news bulletins, quotes from interrogations, archives, eyewitness accounts [28] . In 2008, the Yekaterinburg Theater No. 3 staged a performance about Alyoshenka, which takes place in a television studio, and the script is based on interviews of people who contacted or saw him [29] .

The story of Alyoshenka formed the basis of the hood script. the movie " Extraterrestrial " (2007).

In 2009, Oleg Shishkin wrote the science fiction novel “The Witch” [30] , which takes place in Kyshtym and one of the heroines of which is a crazy pensioner Tamara Vasilievna, who picked up an alien creature in the cemetery and called him Alyoshenka.
