Red-cuffed cuff

Red- red cuff [2] ( Latin Alchemīlla erythropōda ) is a species of dicotyledonous plants of the genus Cuff ( Alchemilla ) of the family Pink ( Rosaceae ) [3] . The plant was first described in 1934 by the Russian botanist Sergei Vasilievich Yuzepchuk [4] [5] .

Botanical Description

Perennial herb about 15 cm tall [6] .

The leaves are blue-green (or gray-green [6] ) with seven to nine lobes [7] , rounded, placed along the length of the stem, at the base or in the basal rosette [2] . The stem is reddish [6] .

The flowers are yellow-greenish, up to 1 cm in size; inflorescence is a panicle .

The fruit is a nut [2] .

Distribution

Distributed in the Carpathian mountains , on the Balkan Peninsula [7] , in the Caucasus [5] : in Armenia , Georgia ; as well as in Turkey (from the north-west to the east of the peninsula of Asia Minor ) and in the north of Iran [8] .

Value

In Russia , it is grown as a cultivated plant [2] .
