Biography
The eldest son of Michael de la Paul , 2nd Earl of Suffolk, and Catherine Stafford, daughter of Hugh Stafford, 2nd Earl of Stafford .
Together with his father, Michael de la Paul participated in the military campaign of the English King Henry V Monmouth in France in 1415. The younger Michael de la Paul brought with him a detachment of 20 soldiers and 60 archers .
On September 18, 1415, Michael de la Paul, 2nd Earl of Suffolk, died during a siege by the English army of the city of Arfleur in Normandy . After the death of his father, Michael de la Paul inherited the title and possessions of the Earl of Suffolk.
October 25, 1415 Michael de la Paul, 3rd Earl of Suffolk, participated in the battle with the French army near Agincourt , was killed during the battle. He was succeeded by his younger brother William de la Paul, 4th Earl of Suffolk .
Family and children
Around 1404, he married Elizabeth Mowbray (d. After December 1, 1423), daughter of Thomas Mowbray (1366–1399), 1st Duke of Norfolk , and Elizabeth Fitzalan (c. 1366–1425). Their kids:
