The younger brother of another Romanian rower, silver medalist of the 1976 Olympics, George Simionov .
Career
At the 1980 Olympics, Toma, together with Ivan Patsaykin, won the gold medal in rowing in canoe-deuces of 1000 meters [1] . At the next Olympics, Patsaykin and Simionov won silver and gold at distances of 500 and 1000 meters.
