Biography
During the Serbo-Turkish war of 1876-1877, he commanded the Bragachevsky battalion.
In 1908 - 1909 - Minister of War. In 1908 and 1909-1912 he was the head of the Military Academy. One of the leading military theorists of Serbia . During the Balkan wars - commander of the Ibar army.
With the outbreak of World War I, he led the defense forces of Belgrade. After the evacuation of the Serbian army from the country, he moved to Russia .
In 1916, in Odessa, he formed the Serbian volunteer corps, at the head of which he acted in Dobrudja with the Russian army .
In June 1918 he retired.
